Swedish Oddballs was mentioned in Chortle as one of ten international acts. They wrote: “And today, since UNbored is the festival’s slogan this year, we’re featuring ten shows from the virtual UN of international acts heading for the comedy section.”
Laugh Out London mentioned Swedish Oddballs among “Best international comedians at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014”.
The show was one hour long, including a guest comedian that opened with 10 minutes. .
The story revolved around my life in the very north of Europe. Or at least – how it COULD have been if I hadn’t just made it all up.
Non-Scandinavians think we have reindeers and polar bears in the streets. They do not however know much about how we celebrat different holidays, what type of games we play and why we kill our in-laws. So I see my show not as much as a standup show as a lecture in Scandinavian life and culture.
The show was a part of the La Favorita Freestival in Edinburgh, and I was performed at Cowgatehead.
The audience – including the British comedians Paul Foot, Sean Brightman and friends – gave it a lot of appreciation, and some even came back to see it more than once.
